My current title is AD User Experience at The Hartford, and Product Designer is my title in our egalitarian innovation lab, which focuses primarily on new product initiatives. My role in the lab is that of a proud generalist. I am leading qualitative user research and writing our UX plan proposals and questions, conducting interviews and usability tests, writing UX strategy decks, facilitating ideation workshops with top level stakeholders, creating our information architecture for new projects, and collaborating with our team on the full range of UX Design deliverables (low, medium, and high fidelity wireframes, personas, etc.).
I occasionally lend a hand to other areas such as business strategy, literature review, tweaking the design system(s), and as needed graphic design and production work.

As a UX Designer for The United States Tennis Association (USTA), I specialized in translating research insights into low and medium fidelity wireframes. I worked across multiple projects including the Net Generation kids tennis app, Coach background checks, court booking, event websites, and the main USTA website. I also redesigned the information architecture for the Safe Play project, working closely with business and legal needs.
On the UX Research side, I conducted our remote unmoderated user testing and summarized and presented the results to stakeholders. I conducted a card sorting and tree testing study to inform proposals for a rework of the information architecture on the usta.com website.

InSpirAVE is fintech start up company that enables users to save for large purchases. I created the UX and UI Design for the MVP launch of their web application. Creating this included frequent meetings with key stakeholders, Weekly dev team meetings and collaboration, Usability Testing, Persona creation, Low, Medium, and High Fidelity Wireframes, and general production work including maintaining the InSpirAVE Wordpress site.

Entrepreneurial project: Food Roulette App
This is an entrepreneurial project for an app that presents a smartly tailored set of meal choices to help indecisive orderers. It makes these suggestions based on their pre-established food preferences and feedback aggregation from similar users. The app will present the meal, instead of the restaurant, as the primary information point. There is an entertainment- minded, novel meal suggestion interface that plays on gambling themes. This is an entrepreneurial project that spans from early concept through business strategy, UX Design, and early-stage user interface design.
Entepreneurial project: Athena Book Reader
Athena Book reader is a book reading device projecting for a future with updated color e–ink technology. Through needs identified through ethnographic–style research, the product concept morphed into a book reading app specializing in textbook reading and class note taking. The design explores optimal features for this specialized studying app and incorporates layouts for reading and annotating different types of reading materials, e.g. differences between comic book, math, and biology textbook formatting.
UX Research, UX Design, Brand Identity
Artwoof is a website that helps organize art shows in non-traditional venues. The UX Design explores, in much the way a dating site would, how to best match together artists, curators, and property managers to find the best fit. This enables them to more efficiently curate and have art shows. It is a primarily not for profit site with the aim of community-building. It's is a pet project of mine that I hope to be able to continue to develop.
UX Design, UI Design, Illustration
Prior to beginning my UX career, I have a long history of freelance. There was always a little extra time during the Summers when I was going to school and later, teaching, to take on these side jobs. Some of these include (more recently) UX Design, (previously) Web Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Textile Design, Photoshop, Painting, and Patent Drawing. Although my primary focus is UX Design, this background gives me deeper insight into design and allows me to be able to lend a hand with production work when needed.
