About Me
Background
I'm a formally trained UX Designer with a decade of experience making innovative applications and coaching app teams to create successful products.
As a generalist, my strengths include ethnographic style interviews, usability testing, information architecture, and visual (UI) design. Currently consulting as a Design Lead with our biggest client. Previously I have led User Experience Design in The Hartford's Small Business Innovation Lab in FiDi, NYC, and worked as a UX Designer for the United States Tennis Association (USTA). I served as an active member of the board of directors for the NYCUXPA for three years. I have taught Information Architecture and Interaction Design as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the graduate program at Pratt Institute.
Before I was a designer I was a fine art painter (doing freelance web & graphic design on the side). Highlights include having my work on billboards in Chelsea and having work in the public collection on permanent display at the University of North Texas.
I live in Austin, TX with my wonderful family and my dog Pepita.
